To my Manchester City family:

It has been over two decades since I made the best decision of my life in supporting this incredible club, our Manchester City. And it is with great eagerness and anticipation that I write to you with news of an exciting, new, fan-driven venture. 

During Sheikh Mansour’s tenure, we have truly seen it all. Exhilarating triumph, debilitating defeat, heartbreak and redemption, superstar signings and silky football that has become the envy of the footballing world - it has all been great fun, hasn’t it? I think that we can all agree that this club has given us some of the best memories of our lives.

Despite not being a Manchester local, I quickly learned that being a City fan meant so much more than solely success on the pitch. In seeing how City contributed to their local community, how the CFG invested in development and infrastructure, how the club treats their players, prioritizes their fans, retains their staff and more, I learned and continue to learn daily why this club is truly the heart and soul of Manchester. 

Which leads me to why you are reading this letter at this moment. 

Thanks to the brilliant work of the City Football Group, Manchester City Football Club has grown into a bonafide titan of world football. In concordance with our excellence on the pitch, we have established ourself as one of the leading, preeminent brands in the modern footballing era. For all the club has done for us, it is my firm belief that our club deserves the absolute best from its growing base of diverse supporters as well. 

For years I wondered how fans like myself could best support the club if matches were impossible to attend. And that is why I’m so excited to introduce you all to Man City Global - a multi-faceted media platform that will provide a safe and inclusive place for City fans around the globe to connect with each other and learn more about our beloved club. 

At its core, Man City Global will embrace an underlying ethos of community, togetherness, and family. In addition to news coverage, match spaces, podcasts and more, we will prioritize building a platform where City fans from all generations can come together with open minds and learn from each other. As such, I’ve spent great care in assembling a team of some of the most brilliant, dedicated City fans I know (local and abroad) in order to best represent who we are in the year 2023. 

One club, one team, one fanbase, together. 

The degree of love, loyalty, and dedication that our fans show for our club is something that makes me beyond proud to call myself a City fan. While we may experience some bumps and bruises in this new endeavor, please know that all of us at MCG are committed to building something special, unique, and most importantly, something that all City fans can be proud of.
